Last week my good pal Pete Rugh invited me to be a guest on his weekly radio show at K-UTE radio. Pete created a show about a month back called Pete's Famous Friends wherein the criteria to be on the show is either famous by association, inheritance or accomplishment. He kicked off his first show with my brother Steven, then followed up with some NBA and music industry peeps then onto week four with me. Unfortunately while mid-interview the fire alarm went off and we had to leave everyone with some dead sound for a good chunk of time...the alarm ended up being the main guest of the show. So Pete's guest this week was Grete Eliassen and due to commonality of the subject I got another invite from Pete and played a small part as c0-guest/host. Thanks for the rebate Pete and if you're looking so some needed noise from the radio jump on over to K-UTE radio and take a listen.
Pink Floyd's music has been a huge influence to me growing up. If the time I spent with Pink Floyd had been applied to my scholastic endeavors, I'm sure I would have received much higher marks. But their influence on me has lead to some enlightening experiences that no educational facility could ever teach. When people ask the question, "If you could see any band who would it be?" Mine would definitely be Pink Floyd. I guess there is still a possibility of that being fulfilled, but for the time being The Australian Pink Floyd Show came through Salt Lake and I couldn't pass it up. It was crazy to see a stadium full of people who paid an average of $50 per ticket coming to see a cover band. The show's focus was in recreating The Wall, which they did quite well, by following the theme presented in their movie under the same name. Once through their main act, they came back for the encore and played Shine on You Crazy Diamond, Wish You Were Here, One of These Days (equipped with the pig!) and a few others. Good stuff.
Purchased myself a new camera finally. My last one decided to go on a journey a while back. Maybe it will show up again one of these days, but I'm definitely going to continue utilizing the camera on my phone. Don't want to put the CPFMP series to bed quite yet. So with the new camera came a new season for the U-tarh Jezz. Chris got me back in the saddle. Thanks Chris.
Ever received one of those emails saying that your unknown great 2nd Uncle in Zaire just died and you are the sole recipient of his fortune? And in order for the funds to be transferred all you need to do is send your bank information and then you'll be rich beyond measure! I got an updated version of that email last night. I wonder how many idiots actually fall for this??

Had my first day on snow last Wednesday. Was planning on a bit of a randonee, but couldn't find my needed tools, so we hoofed it up Brighton and slid some steel. Jordan made a video of his first hours on snow, but there are a couple shots of friends so I'm going to bogart that ish.
A few days down the road aka the weekend, Alta was giving away 500 vouchers to their resort if you brought in some outerwear to donate to the homeless shelter. Sean, having the great mind that he does, went to DI bought this little gem......to earn himself a free day at Alta. Little did he know 17,000,000 other people had the same brain capacity as he did but an alarm clock that actually worked. Needless to say, he dropped the baby saver in the snow and we made our way to Brighton. Fun day nonetheless. Thank you Earth for tilting like you do at this time of year and getting us all excited for the coming months.
Remember these days?! A lot of nostalgia with this shot. Too bad video games have had a similar pattern to gas prices. You could go a long way with a dollar when I was a young lad. Now that will only get you one turn when you sell yourself short. Cave Bwoi! made this glow stick edit of us tapping into our younger days and his first day on snow with Pistol.
I just signed this petition asking that Obama appoint a Treasury Secretary who can clean up Wall Street, not one who helped deregulate it. Right now, the leading candidate for the post is Clinton administration official Larry Summers, who had a hand in reducing regulations on banks in 1999.
We can't fix this mess by handing control to the people who made it.
I occasionally enjoy a minute or two of video games. I might take a guess and say most people do. If you try to say otherwise you might be lying. Anyway, a buddy wanted to go to the store to pick up a new game being released at midnight. I enjoy some good people watching and thought that is a crowd you don't get to experience in full because most of the time they're locked up in their houses, giving full attention to their digital lives as opposed to basic human interaction. They love it. This will be the nature of these people in line in about 20 minutes...
