Aenictogitoninae aka Ants

These little fellars are crazy! Watch this video and then follow the link below to listen to an amazing podcast out of New Yawk called Radio Lab. I think I've mentioned it previously, but their radio show is tip top. This show delves into other interesting areas, but the ants instigated it. Blame it on them. Push play and enjoy.

Blanc, blanco, weiß, бело

The past week + has been nothing but this......in Salt Lake City, but a nice weather system finally decided to show its face and make friends with the Wasatch Range again. As the befriending took shape it was a bit of a timely process, but we all know good things happen to those who wait. So with the inversion slowing moving out, it took some easing to have the temperatures drop and the rain turn to the ever needed snow. Our days are now seeing a bit more of this......and our nights have that pleasant relfective glow......I so gladly welcome here on Keller Lane. And lucky enough for me I spotted this creature......down at Sugarhouse Park. I don't know who ended up the bigger weirdo in this scenario, the man behind or in front of the lens. Maybe this video could sway your decision...
...either way you got to respect that kind of confidence. Here's to more of this...And why not polish this off with a music video with a similar theme? This one is courtesy of J. Thanks.

Up and up...

Alright. I'm sure its been semi-apparent with some of my recent posts, but I'm skiing again and I'm super happy to be out and about again! Been easing into things over the past weeks and making sure that my shoulder is right there with the progression. Did a bit of filming, shooting, traveling, hiking, jumping, shredding and more. Also an awaited editorial piece in Powder magazine finally went to print about my brother and me, so go grab yourself some literature to pass the time on the toilet and in the meantime gander the visuals below...

CPFMP #5

Took a 40 hour trip to Colorado last week. The Surface posse hopped in every lesbians favorite vehicle...the Subaru Forester. But hey, its a good car. Those lesbians know how to pick a functional vehicle. Anyway, somewhere along that Interstate 70 stretch of road we had to make a stop at one of the many classic truck stop offerings. Instead of finding some sweet tee's with wolves, buffalo, full moons and lighting on them, I found this thing......not too sure what to say about that. Was it the gnarly hungry truckers or the road tripping youngsters that instigated this American beast of a treat?

Shoes

Now I'm not talking about that lame YouTube video, I'm talking legitimate footwear. Something that's got some true use...protective, functional, comfortable, good looking. I've had some sneaks that were all four of the latter. (At least in my opinion. I know there are always naysayers.) Regardless, once one or more of those elements start to slip then its time to start thinking retirement. Now I've had such a pair of recently retired shoes, which has lead to these thoughts and coincidentally it was right around the New Year. Made me reflect on my travels, experiences and direction I've taken with these kicks. Did I make the good choice? Steer my ship in the right direction? Step on the right stone? Was I or am I able to take my journey and apply it so I can continue down the proper path? Maybe, maybe not. Will one ever know? But I do know that the journey is the reward. Thanks for helping me put one foot in front of the other...

Legion of Doooooooooom!!

I know, I know! Its the New Year. I should be having one of those obligatory posts about parties and resolutions and such...and I will! Its coming. But first I wanted to bring an update on the happenings at The Berrics. The final battle in the first bracket of battles has come to an end. The Boss laid down the law earlier, but now it was MJ's turn to battle it out with not just one humanoid, but a whole legion...

Good stuff happening in that neck of the woods. And thanks to everyone who made some suggestions earlier about applying such a project to skiing. Putting a plan into motion starts with making a plan, so at least we've got the wheels turning there.
More to come soon...
