It Was A Clear Black Night...

Back on the road. Cooke City has been put en limbo so I'm back in the truck and headed West, destination Baker City, OR. Finally linking up with the whole crew out there and getting some hammer time done. Made a little pit stop at my Uncle & Aunt's in Idaho Falls. Refuel on some home cooking. Thanks.
Until next time, click the white title link up top and enjoy a classic. Peas.

WHERE THE WILD THINGS ARE!!

Thank you for sharing Piero! The trailer was supposed to come out tomorrow with the Monsters vs Alien movie, but I'm happy to see it earlier. Enough talk. Enjoy...

What better way to pair it than Arcade Fire?? So psyched.

Lord British

My brother and I have been trading VBS videos for the past bit. Everything from skateboarding to rocket science has been shared. So when looking for the next video I came across this guy, Richard Garriott aka Lord British. I highly suggest taking the next 20 or so minutes to learn more about this guy and the life he's built. You'll experience everything from Dungeons & Dragons to Russian cosmonauts. And it will be a precursor to my upcoming Dinosaur video. Roar. Get some.

The Lonely Soul

I was lacking a title for this post, so I decided to pull a RZA line from a song of his. That guy is good.

As for today, I can now check off Montana in my "to ski" states. Traveled through here quite a few times, but never skied. Got a day in at Big Sky, which is about an hour outside of Bozeman. Dust on crust. Well a bit more dust than crust, a lot of fun regardless. Looks like the next couple weeks might be spent poking around this state. More after the jump.

If I stay here long enough, I think I'll have to take after this guy...

Digesting

Different location, another night dependent upon the internet. Regurgitating this one from David Choe's blog. Found this funny. You're going to want to click on the image to get the full story. Love at first...crap.

Free Wheelin'

Two parts with this one. First part is Eric Koston vs. Donovan Strain rematch from The Battle at the Berrics. Some craziness is had in there.

Second part is this guy. I think his name is Matt McKeen, but I could be wrong. I started off laughing, but by the end of it my mouth was gaped. Still confused by this one. He kills it though...and he's got some mean afterbang! Keep your heads up hoodrats.

Candide Kamera

I lied. Back for another.

My spirits have been a little down while here in Idaho. Our accommodations are great and this place is pretty crazy, but I'm just not really feeling it for some reason. Perhaps its the fact that I've been a little under the weather and having a hard time pulling out of it, or maybe its that weather hasn't been optimal for skiing (i.e. 70 degrees in SLC! or raining in Idaho), or it might be a slew of other reasons. Regardless, those feelings were diminished once I watched this recently released piece of film from Candide Thovex. I'm not yet ready for winter to be over. There is still plenty of fun times and work to be had. Here's to more of this. Enjoy.
For a much higher quality version follow the link.

Nostalgia

Arrived here at Silver Mountain a bit ago. Bored, so what do you do?...the internet! Usually it results in visiting a few blogs and reading up on a few things, but this time around I found something I'm super happy about. I've been hearing about this project for a while now, but seeing some actual screen shots of the production got me so psyched!! I hope you enjoy it as much as I did...

North

Back to the roads. Skian Wade and I jumped in the truck this morning to start another adventure. Currently we're somewhere in Idaho. Our final destination is Silver Mountain in the northern part of our current state. We have been listening to Malcolm Gladwell's, "The Tipping Point", which is an amazing book that provides some great insight and a different perspective on some of our social and economical situations. Check it. I feel as if I'm reaching one of my tipping points in life right now and I couldn't be happier. Thumbs up readers.

Keep It Coming

A lot of text lately without any pictures. This one's for catching up on lost visuals with the past posts. A collection of photos from my iphone from the past trip. Just look...

Thumbs Up

It's a beautiful day in the Wasatch! If my life was a movie it would be that part with fun/good music playing (maybe someone like Bob Seger or Fleetwood Mac) and everything is going well. Having a good time right now. Thumbs up.

Reroute

Yesterday was a success. One of the more fun days I've had in the backcountry. With a check mark put next to Baker it's time to move on. Taking some "things" into consideration and a peep at the weather we decided to point our ship back home. Utah is looking to get a reset with it's snow status, so perhaps we'll have some fun on the home field. As for the current driving situation we've listened to everything from Radio Lab to Radiohead, committed to a grueling game of Wordle and had a brief heated exchange of horns, words and gestures with an ODOT plow driver. Good times.
Well our eta for home is about 4am and I just finished my shift so time to get some shut eye.
Peas.

Baker Has A Death Wish...with nimbus

Seen that skate film by Baker? Its good. Anyway, made it to Mt. Baker. Its looking good and I'm happy to be here. Went on a little venture with the snowmobiles today to check out some zones, but why is it that every time snowmobiles come into play a problem generally arises?? I guess you have to deal with the inevitable bad to get to the good. Luckily it was only minor mechanical issues and we came out unscathed. Tomorrow is looking like good weather so it will be time to get to work.

Sayonara.

Oh and I'm collecting a decent amount of photos on my iphone because my point and shoot is locked in Ian's care back home. So as soon as I've got some trusty wireless and the photos are on my computer, I'll provide something to see. Baker has got some rad terrain.

x2 sayonara.

North x West

Baker is still our destination, but there were some hangups there for minute. When you're chasing weather you can't be too sure about anything. We're on the road again. Right state, wrong corner.

See you in a few.

En Route

Woke up at 5:30 am. Rendezvous at 6:30. Hit the road by 7. I'm on my way to Mt. Baker with the Nimbus crew. Super psyched. Pep and I are piloting his ship and meeting up with Andy and friends. 7 minutes down, 14 hours and 53 minutes left to drive. Time to get truckin with Johnny Cash and Willie Nelson's - Highway Men. More to come later.
Peas.
